Shopping at the Dollar Tree can save you money, but what are the things you should always buy from the dollar tree? Here are 8 things that I always buy from the dollar tree. These aren’t the only things I buy from there but they are the things I won’t buy anywhere else. Here’s a list of things I don’t buy from the Dollar Tree.
Things to buy from the Dollar Tree
If I’m throwing a party, I always stop at the dollar store. For the basic themes, they always have the best deals on decor and supplies. Everything from plates, spoons, tablecloths. And everything else you could need. If you’re looking for a theme they don’t have, you can always get solid color items that go with your theme.
I always try to decorate my grandmothers grave, but I need to do it on a budget. I buy my supplies from the dollar tree because I can buy different bundles and mix the flowers up. I don’t need them to last forever since I replace them every month.
Each bundle at other stores are about $3. I can buy three different bundles from the dollar tree for that price. If I made the same flowers from a higher-priced store one month it would cost me about $12 to $16 versus the $5 to $8 at the Dollar Tree.
Special occasion cards
Other stores sell the same cards for the 3X the price. Instead, I buy special occasion cards from the dollar tree. Sometimes I even get them cheaper with a coupon (YES you can use coupons at the Dollar Tree!)
My little girl pulls out her hair bows and ties all the time, so buying the expensive ones just makes no sense. Instead, I buy them from the dollar tree. If I buy a pack of 50 ties for a dollar, it’s not a big deal if she loses them.
I am past the stage of needing pregnancy tests but if you need them it’s the best place to get them. Let’s be honest we never just take one test. Blame it on shock but you’re going to buy a few tests it can save you a pretty penny.
I buy things like measuring cups, spatulas, and other kitchen utensils from the dollar tree. If you watch closely, you can usually grab Betty Crocker and other name brand kitchen utensils on sale for cheap.
I love their books selection for adults and kids. They always have a great selection of books and coloring books. Right now adult coloring books are big, and last week I found adult coloring books that sell for $7 each for $1! I had to buy one… or three 😉
If you have a big family like mine, you go through bread like crazy. We are brand loyal for our bread, but we often find our bread in the dollar tree! It is usually close to the expiration date so make sure you check that, but for us I know it will be gone within a day and a half so it’s fine.
