School supplies are always a great way to save money in August. Between stores trying to get it out of the store towards the end of August and the penny sales. Buy supplies your kid will need throughout the year or maybe even next year (if you have the space to store it).
No sales tax
Take advantage of no sales tax weekend! Buy your school clothes and supplies on during that sale, but also check for other items that you need that are tax-free. Need a new computer? Now’s the time to grab it!

Christmas is coming. Stores are trying to empty shelves for all the new toys that are going to be hot for the upcoming Christmas season. Take this chance to grab some of those clearance toys.

It’s time for the companies to start showing off the newest and best phones for next year. Most companies start in early September, so right now is a good time to get the older versions. If you’re into Iphone’s the iPhone 5S and 6S will start going on deep discount this month.
Things that you use outside for things like camping will be on sale this month too. Like insect repellent, sunscreen and charcoal as well as box fans and air conditioning units. Check on tent too because sometimes they are also on sale!
Cleaning supplies will be on sale this month because they go along with back to school. Things like disinfectant wipes, bleach, disinfecting cleaners, and hand sanitizers. Make sure you stock up on them and check for coupons that you can print.
